Prior to over two decades of hands-on building, Dave grew up on a farm where his natural curiosity and industriousness was stoked. As an adult, he worked at three major corporations – Kraft, General Electric and Caterpillar – in financial services and new business development. In 1989, Dave decided to pursue his lifelong love of building and founded Prairie Home Builders, leveraging his management and financial experience with his natural abilities and skill set to put together a solid organization. As comfortable with a crowbar as he is with a computer, Dave is proud of the work he and his team have done over the years to make houses into homes.

In business since 1989, Prairie Home Builders Ltd. constructs and remodels single family homes. We deliver quality construction on time and work as client consultants to help the homeowner make educated decisions along the way. We pride ourselves on customer service, which has generated strong word-of-mouth endorsements and a roster of repeat customers.

With annual sales of up to 5 million dollars, we employ a full staff of multi-skilled craftsmen. When we subcontract work it is to reliable firms with which we have long term commitments. We are Dunn & Bradstreet-rated and have a strong vendor base which includes over 250 active house accounts.

All our craftsmen are trained in-house to pursue attention to detail, consistency, and a high level of customer satisfaction.  The average tenure of our employees is over eight years, and many have been with us for over 13 years.
